Hi my name is Bridget OBrien! I'm currently a freshman at Penn State and I'm loving every minute of it! I'm from Summit, New Jersey and I'm an only child. I like to joke that my father is Bill OBrien the football coach, but that's not the case, they just happen to share the same name. My mom on the other hand is a flight attendant for United Airlines, so I've had the pleasure of traveling all over the world with her. I also have a yellow lab named Sadie (I almost miss her more than my own parents).
I'm an extremely active person. I love playing and watching most sports. Throughout high school I played soccer and ran cross-country, winter, and spring track and field. I became really involved in the track program at school, my relay team even ran at Nationals and the Penn Relays! Besides my love of running, I love hanging out with my friends, watching TV/movies, reading, and listening to music. I have an eclectic mix of artists in my iTunes library ranging from Led Zeppelin to the Dave Matthews Band to Kid Cudi. I could go on and on talking about music. It's impossible for me to choose a favorite artist.
Though I can't pick a favorite musical artist, I'll name some of my other favorites. I love mashed potatoes, York Patties, guacamole, clothing/fashion, traveling, How I Met Your Mother, She's the Man, and Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. There are so many more things I could name, but this page would go on and on for forever.
Upon my arrival at Penn State I knew this was the perfect place for me. I'm certain that PSU will allow me to explore new possibilities and grow as a person. I'm so excited for the fun and crazy freshman year that awaits me!
